Shoulder Work

The doc said her shoulder was all

messed up. It was full of arthur-i-tis and the

rotor cup was all tore up. Had to trim out

all the bad stuff, and patch it back up.

Asked him if it was good as new and he said

won’t never be good as new. She done too

much damage to that thing. Course, I’m not

too sure how she done the damage. Ain’t like

when Timmy tore up his shoulder because he

got tackled wrong ‘n landed on his arm in

such a bad way. Nah, she aint done nothing

like that. Suppose it’s just too much use.

Course them falls she had, and caring for our

boy probably didn’t help. Lifting him out of

his wheelchair sand helping him walk and

caring for his every need all them years

probably took its toll ‘swell. When I asked

the doc how long he thinks this surgery will last, he

said she’s really too young to replace it, but

the fix he done won’t likely last too long.

Reminds me of when we was up on the mountain

hunting and you tore up your tie rod on that rock.

Wasn’t nothing we could do but stuff some deer

fat up in the rubber ‘n wrap it up with hundred

mile an hour tape ‘n hope it’d hold til we got back.

‘S I recall, we got home all right. But you had to

get that tie rod replaced soon after.

So, guess she’ll need to get the hundred mile an hour

tape removed ‘n replace that tie rod sooner ‘n later.

The doc said he hopes at least a year, seeing how

she’s so young and all. Course she says she don’t feel

too young.

Anyway, you ready to sell me that truck yet?
